Happy First Birthday Austin!

We celebrated Austin's first birthday on Saturday. He wasn't all the interested in opening his gifts...in fact, I think Ella may have enjoyed them more than him! Our remote control car was a big hit with Austin (someone else drives it - he chases it). However, the car wasn't a big hit with Poppa Hacker because it is a bit noisy.

Hackensack, MN

We headed to Amy and John's cabin this weekend with Angie's parents. Despite the autumn-like weather, we were still able to enjoy a boat ride, several walks, lawn games, two campfires, and great company. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Demolition.

After 2.5 years of limited garage storage and lack of space for our two cars, we decided to say goodbye to our one-car garage. It was demolished about 1.5 weeks ago...our new two-car garage is now in the process of being built. Here are pictures of the old garage...pictures of the new garage will follow as it is completed. We are already looking forward to winter garage parking. :)

BBQ at the Flannery's

3 small children, 2 preggos, 1 dog...what a difference a year makes. We stopped by the Flannery's on Saturday afternoon for a backyard BBQ. Here are a few photos from the afternoon:

Pregnancy Update - 23 Weeks

Here's a picture of Angie at 23 weeks...she has really 'popped out' in the last few weeks. We got to meet our little buggle via ultrasound a few weeks ago. Everything is looking healthy. We didn't find out the gender, although Art thought he saw evidence of a little boy...too bad it was just a leg. :)

Chicago

We headed to Chicago this weekend to visit Katie and Steve. Art's parents were there for the weekend as well. We enjoyed a backyard BBQ, took in a Cubs game, and hung out with the family.

The Odd Couple

Hubert Wanning and Savannah Steele got familiar with eachother during our visit to Glenwood. Although Savannah certainly runs faster, Hubert (the little tank) held his own by tripping Savannah at every opportunity.

Meanwhile, Steele gave Pete a tour of his "property" - a Glenwood term for absurdly large tracts of land.
