Easter 2009

Claire was surprised to find an Easter basket left outside her bedroom door on Sunday morning. She wasn't quite sure what to think of all the eggs inside at first. That all changed once she figured out she could open them up and find surprises inside. She LOVED shaking the eggs, pulling them apart and enjoying the treats inside (no real treats quite yet, just Cheerios and Kix). :)
After a busy morning we headed to church, which is always challenging. Claire has never been the best at sitting still, which doesn't go so well with church.
After church we made our way up to Art's parents for Easter brunch. The company was great and the food was delicious. It was a great celebration. Here's a few, not so great pictures of Claire in her Easter dress. She was much too busy to be bothered with photos.

Children's Museum

We met up with my family at the Children's Museum on Saturday morning. I don't know if it was the nice weather or the fact that it was Easter weekend, but it was surprisingly quiet. Claire and her cousins Ella and Austin had a great time exploring.
They splashed in the water area.
Did a little grocery shopping.
And sang a few tunes.
Claire had a great time and can't wait to visit again soon!

Easter Egg Fun

Claire spent Friday afternoon coloring Easter eggs with Grandma Boylan and cousin Meghan. Claire loved watching the eggs turn colors and made quite a mess in the process of all the dying (which explains the lack of clothes in the picture below). It is so fun to watch Claire and Meghan interact more and more as they get older. They had a great time playing and laughing together.

Change

It has been a rough month since being back from vacation. Claire transitioned to the toddler room at school when we got home and it has been a struggle. She is not a child that does well with change, so the new teachers and environment have taken awhile to get used to. There have been lots of tears in the mornings when we drop her off and she has been exhausted from all the added stimulation by the time we pick her up at night. It has been rough. Luckily she turned a corner this last week and things are definitely getting easier. She seems to be picking up on the new routine and is starting to enjoy all the new activities around her. Most importantly, she is a much happier little girl in the evenings. The good thing is that she doesn't move rooms again for a very long time...we are definitely thankful for that!!

Baby Bump

23 weeks today...only 16 more to go since I will have a scheduled c-section this time. I have been feeling really well and have had a pretty easy pregnancy so far. Here's a picture of my growing baby bump at 22 weeks. I am feeling so much larger than I did with Claire. I thought maybe it was in my head until I pulled up a picture of myself when I was 22 weeks along with Claire. You be the judge.
